The ghost of Abraham Lincoln roams around
According to the Daily Star, people have claimed to have seen the spirit of former American President and great leader Abraham Lincoln in different parts of the White House. He was assassinated in 1865. In 1942, Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands was staying at the White House when suddenly at night she heard a knock on the door of her room. As soon as he opened the door, the ghost of Abraham Lincoln was standing in front. It is believed that Winston Churchill also saw Lincoln’s ghost in the White House. Ronald Reagan’s dog Rex also used to bark when he saw Lincoln’s bedroom and would not go into the room.
There have been claims of seeing the ghosts of other presidents
Apart from Lincoln, the ghost of William Henry Harrison, who was the President of America in the 1800s for 32 days, has also been seen in the White House. Henry died of pneumonia in 1841. People have heard mysterious sounds in the White House which were from the violin. It is believed to be the ghost of former President Thomas Jefferson who was president between 1801 and 1809. Apart from this, it has been claimed to have seen the ghosts of many other presidents.
